Tenant representation is when the client engages a broker on an exclusive basis to represent their interest in securing a lease for office or warehouse space. The tenant rep broker represents only the tenant’s interests. The tenant rep assists the client in defining its space needs, providing market cost input needed to develop a budget, identifying all prospective properties within the defined search area, preparing a comprehensive Request for Proposal, evaluating the proposals on both a qualitative and quantitative basis, and negotiating the business terms of a lease.
